Our customers include US and Canadian health organizations and a wide range of research organizations including universities, clinical trials, pharmaceutical, and bio-tech organizations

Job Overview:
This position will sell all Saf-T-Pak packaging and training products, Saf-T-Temp (STT) phase change materials, and the Laminar Medical Insulated shipping products within their assigned territory. This position is office based in the Baltimore/Washington DC area.

Contract Trainer - Infectious Substance (Div. 6.2) Shipping

Position: Part-time Contract Trainer for Infectious Substance (Div. 6.2) Shipping
Salary: Per seminar
Date Available: Immediately

Overview

Saf-T-Pak has openings for Part-time contract trainers to conduct training seminars on the topic: “Shipping Division 6.2 Dangerous Goods, Biological Substances and Dry ice”. Applicants must have an excellent working knowledge of transport regulations, both nationally and internationally, especially as they pertain to Division 6.2 Infectious substances. Applicants must also have experience offering training seminars to an adult audience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in biology, microbiology or related field
  • Infectious Substance (Div. 6.2) Shipping Training experience
  • Tangible laboratory experience working with and shipping infectious substances a plus
  • Training experience in related biosafety topics, e.g. OSHA and blood-borne pathogens, lab hood safety, etc. a plus
  • Flexibility in availability – to allow for scheduling flexibility. Scheduling is usually 2-4 months in advance.

Duties

Trainers must have excellent presentation techniques to effectively communicate the materials to trainees with diverse educational and professional backgrounds, including: administrative personnel, laboratory technologists, research scientists, biosafety officers, and governmental regulatory auditors. Seminars are held throughout the United States and Canada; candidates must not have any restrictions on travel and must be available to travel and train during the week.

The number of days of contract training will vary depending upon numerous factors, including your availability and specific date requests of clients.
